Project Management Professional and University Credentials

Each Nexient Project Management Course serves as a stepping-stone for career advancement. Students may pursue professional credentials, an Associate's Certificate and Master's Certificates through Nexient courses.



PMP® Certification

Obtain your Project Management Professional (PMP®) designation by taking project management courses that help you prepare for the PMP® Certification exam. Nexient offers two additional courses to test and strengthen your ability to pass this challenging exam:

Additionally, you can prepare for the exam by taking the PMP® Online Practice Test that precisely follows the PMI® PMP® exam blueprint.

You can also maintain your PMP® designation by earning Professional Development Units through our project management courses.

Associate's Certificate in Project Management or IT Project Management

The Associate's Certificates in Project Management and IT Project Management provide an introduction to project management and are appropriate for anyone who needs a basic working knowledge of the subject.

  • Anyone working in a project environment

Upon successfully completing the prescribed requirements, students will be awarded the respective Associate's Certificate from The George Washington University School of Business.
Additionally, students will be awarded the respective Associate's Certificate from McMaster University Centre for Continuing Education (excluding those in Ottawa and Quebec).

The Associate's Certificates complement the Project Management Institute's Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®) credential and begin to lay the groundwork for anyone seeking PMI's Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification.

Master's Certificate in Project Management

The Master's Certificate in Project Management recognizes professionals who have attained the knowledge and experience to oversee all aspects of project management, including initiation, scheduling, quality, procurement, and communications issues.

Upon successfully completing the prescribed requirements, students will be awarded a Master's Certificate in Project Management from The George Washington University School of Business. Students may also be awarded certificates from the following Canadian Universities:

Master’s Certificate in Project Management with a Concentration in IT Project Management

The Master’s Certificate in Project Management with a Concentration in IT Project Management program is an update of our Master’s Certificate in IT Project Management. It combines essential project management skills with a distinctly IT focus.

Upon successfully completing the prescribed requirements, students will be awarded a Master's Certificate in Project Management with a Concentration in IT Project Management from The George Washington University School of Business. Students may also be awarded certificates from the following Canadian Universities:

Advanced Master's Certificate in Project Management

The Advanced Master's Certificate in Project Management recognizes professionals who have a strong background in the field, yet want to expand their knowledge and skills by focusing on today's higher-level, strategic project management issues.

Upon successfully completing the prescribed requirements, students will be awarded an Advanced Master's Certificate in Project Management from The George Washington University School of Business.
Additionally, students will be awarded an Advanced Certificate of Completion in Project Management for Experienced Project Managers from McMaster University Centre for Continuing Education (excluding those in Ottawa and Quebec).
