Professional Associations

Within the Business Process Improvement portfolio of programs, Nexient delivers a mix of company-owned curriculum and curriculum that we deliver under exclusive arrangements with leading providers in the field. The organizations we partner with are recognized thought and practice leaders.


Project Management Institute (PMI®)

PMI REP

Nexient has been recognized by the Project Management Institute as a Global Registered Education Provider (R.E.P.). In addition to Nexient being a provider of curriculum that is registered with the PMI®, Nexient associates across the country participate on the Executives and Committees of local PMI® chapters across the country.

The Project Management Institute offers three levels of project management professional certification for the individual:

CAPM® - Certified Associate Project Manager
PMP® - Certified Project Management Professional
PgMP - Certified Program Management Professional

The following Business Process Improvement curricula have been registered and approved by PMI® as Education Credits toward professional certification as well as Professional Development Units (PDUs) toward professional re-certification:

Nexient's Associate's Certificate in Project Management program is aligned with the CAPM® designation.

The Master's Certificate in core or IT Project Management program is aligned with the PMP® designation.

Reporting PDUs

The Project Management Institute requires that a PMP® earn 60 professional development units (PDUs) every three years in order to maintain certification. Nexient courses are an excellent way to learn new skills and earn valuable PDUs. PDUs are reported online on the PMI® website or by submission of PMP Professional Development Activities Reporting form directly to PMI®. This form can be found at www.pmi.org. International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA)

The IIBA, whose vision is to be the leading world-wide professional association that develops and maintains standards for the practice of business analysis and for the certification of practitioners. Nexient is a founding member of the IIBA. Our associates are active in local chapter Executives and Committees across the country.

The IIBA has awarded the Endorsed Education Provider status to Nexient Learning.

To maintain its designation, Nexient must follow strict educational guidelines and is subject to random audits for quality assurance and compliance. The following Nexient Business Analysis courses have earned approval from IIBA:

Information Techhnology Service Management Forum (itSMF)

The IT Service Management Forum (itSMF) is a global, independent, internationally recognized not-for-profit organization dedicated to IT Service Management.

As businesses depend more and more on technology to promote and deliver their products to market, the benefits of adopting Best Practice IT Service Management have become more apparent. It is the primary aim of the itSMF to develop and promote industry best practices in service management.

Nexient supports the aims of the itSMF and our clients' needs to effect performance improvement within their IT organization by offering a comprehensive curriculum in IT Service Management, based on the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL). Nexient associates further support the itSMF by serving on the Executive and Committees of local Chapters across the country.
